A Mother's Account of Learning to Teach Her Children At Home
I am a SAHM and teacher of six beautiful daughters. I decided to create this blog because I needed somewhere to write down what I was and am going through as I learn about the wide world of homeschooling. I figured why not share that process, in case there was anyone that found it as overwhelming as I did! I hope you enjoy your stay and perhaps find something helpful in your own journey!

The Flexibility of Homeschool

One of the reasons that I love to homeschool is that we can change gears at the drop of a hat and choose to do something other than what we had planned.  After a cold winter cooped up inside, it was very easy for us to do shortened lessons on one of the first relatively sunny, warm days of the year.  Instead of spending the majority of a gorgeous day inside with text books, we pulled out our bikes to play and released some pent up energy.  Then the girls put together an impromptu picnic with lots of fun snacks.  By the time public school kids were getting out, the weather was cooling off and storm clouds were moving in.  But we had been able to enjoy the sun and warm weather while it lasted!
